Calhoun MissionService to the citizens of Calhoun & representation of Calhoun to the County & State government.
Calhoun ProfileCalhoun currently has a population of 496 people as of the 2000 census. We are a community not a city. We have an industrial base for employment. We offer police protection, garbage collection, street maintenance, an all volunteer fire department, a medical facility, many churches, and 2 parks. We have access to the Hiwassee River for water sports and hunting. We have walking paths and back road biking opportunities. We think it is a well balanced community. Check us out and let us know what you think. If you are interested in housing availability, call City Hall, the Public Library, or the Police.
Contact InformationOur phones have continuous answering systems to allow you to leave a message any time you chose. The municipal building is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Our police are on duty every day of the week but they may not be at the municipal building. They can be reached through the Library Director or the County Sheriff's dispatch.
